Also, make sure you get an external transmission cooler, and a GOOD electric fan with a switch in the cab. You may also want to look into an oil cooler as well. The Jeep grill is pretty high up, but you will still probably have problems with cooling, especially when driving TO the place to plow when your plow is raised up in front of the grill. Also, take a really good look at your frame and body mounts. Definitely take the time to strengthen and brace those areas, just in case. With that said, I wouldn’t do it. The transmission is going to give you problems down the road or maybe as soon as you turn on it , and you will more than likely have axle problems as well.

These are good ideas. I thought about a snow blower. My dad uses one on his partly gravel drive. It is a very very cold experience becasue some of the blown snow blows back on you. He also ends up with gravel all over his yard. He has to repair the blade thingy a lot too.

First off I’m new to this, I tried searching for this, with no luck. So assuming I’m right which is rare around my house but let me know I was curious how every ones tacoma’s are in the snow, I live in northern New Hampshire, We don’t get snow year around but, we get wintery mix or snow and rain making road condition less then passable for some cars and trucks with all our hilly terrain. I’ve always owned Ford Explorers and I loved the Auto 4×4 drive switch where when it is selected it runs in two wheel drive till it notices slippages which it kicks in the front wheels to pull you along.
I’ve always felt safe in them doing extremely dangerous speeds in the worse condition granted I test my stuff so I know the limits the time I bag about the most was or 09 we got a noreaster and as many of us new englanders know the snow bands follows north which is a 6 lane highway 3 north 3 south, I was coming home from the bottom of CT New haven maybe?
I turned the 10in deep snow and slush break down lane into the 3rd lane and before long I had most of the good drivers and other trucks hot on my heels while I maintained 60 to 65 MPH the speed limit on the best day while the two other lanes bearly reach 30 to 35 mph for short burst of time and the Explorer pulled me threw and kept me safe whether blind luck or the lord only looks after the stupid. Control which is out to kill me.

I had 3 pre DD blizzards and nothing but problems and failures. I love the shoebox, very intuitive. The western has a round support bar running length of plow. And the fisher has an even beefier square tube the length of the plow. You are correct and I was wrong, they are different on top. Round tube is stronger than square tube

D remove the motor and then remove the suction filter E clean the pump housing out with brake cleaner and the same for the pump housing. Blow both out with an air gun if you have one , or wipe the housing out with a clean rag. F re-install the suction filter back onto the pump after your done cleaning it.
G put the drain plug back and tighten it. Hook up the angle rams pressure lines back to were they belong.

Traeger Wood Grills, Green Mt. Boss V Plow Wiring Diagram. Ibought a snowway plow that came off a dodge truck and i am putting it on a chevy truck and i can not figure how to hook the light and the turn using the wiring harness that came off the dodge Optiona. One the first version used a 6 prong switch. The second later version used a 12 prong switch.
Keep in mind the lights themselves were identical, it was just the wiring that was different. The 12 prong switch used headlight adapters that plugged into the existing vehicle headlamp wiring, to route the wires back to. Modification of the snow plow light wiring will require opening of the light housings.

If you need a great plow then this is the one you need for big or little jobs you Christopher Adams Shelbyville, IN I have five Meyer plows.
They were the best thing that I could have done for the School District George Shepard Nampa, ID I recently purchased a used Chevy truck from a local car dealership, and it came with a fairly new Meyer snow plow. My family has been plowing with Fisher snow plows for years, and I wasn’t sure how the Meyer plow was going to operate or hold up. The first snow storm we got was heavy, wet, 7-inches of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. The hook up of the snowplow to the truck went so fast and smoothly, and the plow performed excellent and flawlessly.
The controls are so easy to use. The plow is truly an excellent and well-thought-out piece of equipment. I will recommend Meyer to everyone I know.

Would you buy another BOSS: It is by far the best plow I have owned. I have owned many other plows fisher western Meyers and Pathfinder but the Boss is the 1 plow in my opinion. I have been in the commercial snow business for 30 years, and I will run nothing but Boss plows from now on. Mostly wear parts like a few hoses, one light, power cord. Built right, long lasting components make this the best choice.
I tell my friend, how good it is and where to get one. I have owned and operated it for over 8 years, and could not be happier. I have owned other brands, and none of them compare. When I had a western, the pump would freeze up when it was cold. When I had a Meyer, the solenoids were always going bad.

Small tools production was just a start; the item that set him apart was the self-scouring steel plow, which was pioneered in when John Deere fashioned a Scottish steel saw blade into a plow. Prior to Deere’s steel plow, most farmers used iron or wooden plows to which the rich Midwestern soil stuck, so had to be cleaned frequently.
The smooth-sided steel plow solved this problem, and greatly aided migration into the American Great Plains in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The traditional way of doing business was to make the product as and when it was ordered. This style was very slow, As Deere realized that this was not going to be a viable business model, he increased the rate of production by manufacturing plows before putting them up for sale; this allowed customers to not only see what they were buying beforehand, but also allowed his customers to purchase his products straight away.
Word of his products began to spread quickly. In , Deere entered a business partnership with Leonard Andrus and purchased land for the construction of a new, two-story factory along the Rock River in Illinois. This factory, named the “L.
